After the ugliness of the last post, here’s something to get us back on track. Susan Namangale is a Malawian chess player who has been dedicating herself full time to bringing our wonderful game to the whole population of Malawi, including those least likely to have access: kids in rural areas, prisoners, and street kids. Ms. Namangale recognizes that chess can not only serve as a pleasant recreation but as a way to teach life lessons and improve one’s cognitive skills, and has put her life in service of that mission. God bless her.
