Massive kudos to (sigh) nine-year-old Indian prodigy Aarit Kapil, who drew with Magnus Carlsen in last week’s Titled Tuesday and nearly beat him. (With Black.) He also beat a GM (Pablo Salinas) later in that event, but I assume he has already done that on many occasions. Most of us are happy to be able to spell “GM” at that age; he, meanwhile, is quite possibly around three years away from becoming one.
