This is not a book review; I’m just directing your attention to a new book that looks interesting. Tigran Petrosian has always been one of my favorite players, even though my style bears little resemblance to his.
Among the things he’s known for, Petrosian is perhaps most remembered as the great master of the exchange sacrifice, and Greek GM Vassilios Kotronias’ The Exchange Sacrifice According to Petrosian is apparently - and surprisingly - the first work on that distinctive aspect of the former world champion’s talent. I don’t have the book (I still have, er, a “few” books that I haven’t made my way through), but given my familiarity with Kotronias’ work and my deep appreciation for Petrosian’s chess, I’d at least recommend that you have a look at the book’s product page and the sample pages therein.
